Collaborative Learning Environment for XML
10:55, 24 May 2000 UTC | Leigh Dodds

Peter Murray-Rust and Henry Rzepa have announced their virtual learning environment for XML, VirtualXML ConCourse. The site is described as:

...a very rich XML environment with lots for everyone. It creates a collaborative approach where you share your knowledge, expertise and experience with others who have complementary skills. Whether you have no previous knowledge of XML, or have successfully mastered some of the basics your horizons and creativity will expand.

As co-founders of the XML-DEV mailing list, Murray-Rust and Rzepa have previous experience in building online communities. They have supplemented this by recruiting Ken Holman, and xmlhack editor Simon St. Laurent to provide news and views on key topics.

The service is subscription based, although some content is available to the public. All content for the site is authored directly in XML.
