XML-RPC news:

  • Martijn Pieters of Digital Creations has checked in XML-RPC client support for Mozilla.

The code, now appearing in nightly builds of the open-source browser, means that Mozilla will be able to make XML-RPC requests from remote servers. It was developed for the ZopeStudio project, to enable a Mozilla-based management interface for Zope, but will have larger potential for connecting browser-based applications to remote servers.

  • XML-RPC for PHP version 1beta6 has been released. This version adds:

    • Perl and Python test scripts
    • Better HTTP error handling
    • Helper routines for date encoding

The libraries enable PHP-based websites to implement both XML-RPC clients and servers.
