CSS3 selectors draft merges specs
19:43, 11 Apr 2000 UTC | Simon St.Laurent

The W3C released a new draft of W3C selectors module of CSS3, incorporating prior work on CSS Namespaces Enhancements and User Interface for CSS3.

The new draft integrates the previous work done describing CSS selectors, bringing together support for namespaces in selectors with a larger set of pseudo-classes. Backward compatibility with non-namespace aware browsers is also addressed.

Effectively, this draft consumes the only other CSS draft published this year, the 16 February 2000 User Interface for CSS. The other drafts it replaces are from last year.
