CIOL has posted "'XHTML is a revolution' and other myths
exploded", while Graydon Hoare has posted a rant
pointing out that XML documents don't solve problems by themselves.
Debunking myths related to XML appears to be a popular project lately, as Ron Bourret's Namespace Myths Exploded article and Matthew
Gertner's Change the W3C rant (which opens with a
comparison to Star Wars) demonstrate.
Perhaps the XML hype engine is finally slowing down a little. XHTML is in a very different situation, with almost no
hype so far. Rather than having to battle hype, the CIOL article clears away some of the fear, uncertainty and doubt surrounding
the standard.
