XML 1.1, Namespaces in XML 1.1, at Proposed Recommendation
13:37, 8 Nov 2003 UTC | Simon St.Laurent

Plodding slowly toward Recommendation, the Proposed Recommendations for XML 1.1 and Namespaces in XML 1.1 have been published. Review for both ends 5 December 2003.

While the Candidate Recommendation of XML 1.1 only listed changes between 1.1 and 1.0, the Proposed Recommendation integrates the XML 1.0 and 1.1 specifications. While this does make it more difficult to see what has changed between the CR of 1.1 and the PR of 1.1, a version change-marked from XML 1.0 does make it easier to see what XML 1.1 changes overall.

Namespaces in XML 1.1 also integrates itself with Namespaces in XML 1.0, though unfortunately it lacks a change-marked version, so it's difficult to tell what if anything has changed between the CR of Namespaces in XML 1.1 and the PR, as well as between 1.0 and 1.1.
