The W3C has released a Last Call draft of the XML Information Set. Comments are due by 31 January 2000.
A few of the changes include:
- the XML version number is now explicitly not a part of the information set
- the document has been reorganized - XML 1.0
Reporting Requirements, for instance, have been moved to an appendix
- namespace processing has been much more tightly integrated with the infoset
- an RDF schema is provided
- required materials are now called 'core' while optional materials are now called
'peripheral'
