The latest version of native XML database X-Hive adds support for XQuery and DOM Level 3 Load and Save.

The release also adds support for DOM Level 3 Abstract Schema, which enables on-the-fly schema validation.

Other new features include element name indexing, an improved XPath/XPointer API, an improved admin client and simplified database setup.

X-Hive is commercial software for Linux, Solaris and Windows. A thirty day trial is available from the X-Hive web site.
