Java
First release of Apache XML Security Software
14:48, 6 Nov 2001 UTC | Edd Dumbill

The Computer Science Institute for Data Communications Systems at the University of Siegen, Germany, has donated an implementation of Canonical XML and XML Signature to the Apache XML Project.

The Java software, now available as "Apache XML Security Software 0.0.1" allows the creation and verification of signed XML documents.

The authors note that there is currently no standard Java API for XML Signature processing, although two JSRs (JSR-105 and JSR-106) are in progress -- however, the software does not implement the JSR proposals.
