Ronan Oger has released SVG.pm 0.1, a Perl module for dynamically
generating SVG documents. Darin Adler has announced an update of the GNOME
SVG library librsvg.
Oger's SVG.pm, available through CPAN
and Oger's FTP site, supports SVG,
as well as SMIL and DOM. Oger writes that future improvements to the module
will likely include "better support for foreignbject, curves, filter,
gradients, scripts."
Release 1.0.2 of the GNOME SVG library, librsvg,
is predominantly a bugfix release over version 1.0.1. Source
code is available from the GNOME FTP site. SVG is increasingly
finding application in the GNOME desktop environment,
being in use in the Nautilus file manager and the Sodipodi vector diagram
editor.
