The Cocoon project have announced the second beta version of Cocoon 2. This release marks API stability for the project and includes a number of changes.

The planned release date for this beta was 'mid-July' showing that the developers have met the tight deadlines they set for themselves after the initial beta.

In the announcement, Carsten Ziegeler noted that the primary focus for the next beta will be on supporting documentation. As the project is a complete re-write of Cocoon 1 this will be essential for developers looking to migrate from the old platform.

Understandably there are few live sites as yet running Cocoon 2.
