Blocks approved for publication as Proposed Standard
19:42, 22 Jan 2001 UTC | Simon St.Laurent

The Internet Engineering Steering Group (IESG) approved the publication of Blocks Extensible Exchange Protocol Framework and Mapping the BXXP Framework onto TCP as IETF Proposed Standards.

Blocks provides an XML-based generic protocol which is layered directly on TCP, without relying on HTTP like many other proposed XML protocols.

A developer site with implementations and community links is available at bxxp.org.
