Philippe Le Hegaret announced the release of a beta version of the Simple API for CSS, a standard API for Cascading Style Sheets parsers.

This API is a product of the W3C Style Activity, the keepers of CSS. The API has many similarities to SAX, the Simple API for XML, especially in its parser interface and the callback and exceptions structure.

Implementations are available in both Java and C.
