Prospective travelers on the XML Excursion will be fascinated by Tim Bray's report from the Perl Whirl.

The Whirl was the inaugural cruise from Geek Cruises, who specialize in cruises for programmers.

Bray's report, including pictures, covers both the cruise itself and some of the nuggets of information about Perl he learnt while sailing to Alaska. Bray is also speaking on the January 2001 "XML Excursion" cruise, along with many XML luminaries including Jon Bosak, Ken Holman, Norm Walsh and Paul Prescod.
