Adobe has released the 1.0 version of their SVG viewer. Although Adobe's viewer is numbered "1.0", the W3C have not yet finalized SVG into a Recommendation -- the viewer is based on the March 3 SVG specification.

As well as the viewer download, Adobe have provided some tutorial material on SVG.

CSIRO have issued a new version of their SVG toolkit. Improvements in the latest release include:

• new user interface
• bug fixes
• more DOM events implemented
• additional samples

Dean Jackson, in his announcement of the toolkit, highlighted the addition of embedded scripting using Javascript, according to Jackson: "very cool". Future releases will support filters and SVG embedded fonts.
