Grigoris Karvounarakis has announced the open source release of RQL Interpreter 1.0, a query engine for RDF data and schemas.

Features include:

• Support for XML Schema datatypes, grouping primitives (for constructing nested XML results), aggregate functions, recursive traversal of class and property hierarchies

• Overlays a relational DBMS

• Provides results in RDF/XML, XSLT can be used for custom rendering

• C++ and Java drivers to enable application integration

RQL Interpreter is currently built for the Solaris 8 operating system.
