Sergey Petrov writes with news of Novosoft's RTF2FO software, which converts RTF documents into XSL Formatting Objects.

The converter is available both as a command line tool, and as a Java API. It is possible to create XSLT templates from RTF that enables merging with XML data in order to automatically fill form fields in the document.

RTF2FO is commercial software. An evaluation version is available for download, and the commercial version may be purchased online at the cost of US$49.
