The latest version of Slashcode, the content management application behind Slashdot, has support for the RSS 1.0.

An add-in module to RSS, Slash, is used that adds some of the metadata required by web sites such as Slashdot. This is one of the first third-party modules to take advantage of the extensibility that RSS 1.0 offers.
