Daniel Dardailler, Chair of the W3C Evaluation & Repair Working Group (ERT) has announced version 0.9 of EARL, the Evaluation And Report Language.

EARL is an RDF framework for describing the "recording, transferring and processing data about automatic and manual evaluations/tests of resources or tools". The EARL RDF syntax will be used to record the results of tests made against individual resources.

The aim to produce a generic framework that can be used within the W3C Quality Assurance efforts, particularly the improvement of web content accessibility.

A mailing list is available for discussion of the language and related issues.
