XHTML 1.1 reaches Proposed Recommendation
18:38, 6 Apr 2001 UTC | Simon St.Laurent

Fifteen months after the previous Working Draft, the W3C has published a Proposed Recommendation of XHTML 1.1.

Like XHTML Basic, XHTML 1.1 has skipped the Candidate Recommendation phase entirely. W3C Advisory Comittee members are invited to comment until 7 May 2001. Public discussion of this draft may take place on the www-html@w3.org list.

XHTML 1.1 assembles modules previously defined in Modularization of XHTML and the recent Ruby Proposed Recommendation.

A diff-marked version illustrates changes, which appear to be minimal, from the Last Call Working Draft.
