Modularization of XHTML in XML Schema
10:29, 23 Mar 2001 UTC | Simon St.Laurent

The W3C has published a Working Draft of Modularization of XHTML in XML Schema, expressing in W3C XML Schema the vocabulary described in Modularization of XHTML.

This document seems likely to eventually fill a number of normative appendices (A B C) currently present but empty in the Proposed Recommendation of Modularization of XHTML. Its current form is:

"a stand-alone document to ease its review. Once the methodology described in this document become mature, it will be integrated into a future document forthcoming from the HTML Working Group."

The draft creates a framework for using XML Schema to create XHTML modules, defines required modules, and provides implementations of the XHTML modules.

The XML Schema-based modularization also includes a few changes from the DTD-based modularization.
