New Query Requirements, XHTML Forms drafts
03:57, 17 Aug 2000 UTC | Simon St.Laurent

The W3C has released new drafts of XML Query Requirements and XForms 1.0: Data Model.

The new XML Query Requirement draft "is a revision of the first public XML Query Requirements working draft that takes into account comments processed up to June 10, 2000." The new draft includes an appendix detailing use cases for XML queries.

The XHTML Forms draft is extremely different from its predecessor. While the new draft uses the same name and has largely similar authors, it notes the previous draft and states that it "has now been obsoleted while the Working Group studies how to combine XForms with XML Schema." The new document is far less specific than its predecessor.
